EVERYONE must pick up their own packet, no exceptions!


WE STRONGLY SUGGEST PACKET PICKUP ON SATURDAY BETWEEN 5 AND 7 PM AT THE TRANSITION AREA AT MARINE PARK IN RED BANK (at the foot of Broad Street).   

 

RACE MORNING PACKET PICKUP AVAILABLE FROM 5 TO 6 AM ONLY.  

 

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION ON SATURDAY  DURING PACKET PICKUP.

 

Race Packet Pick Up

 

You must show your USAT Card and photo id. Anyone without a USAT card must pay the $10 one day fee at packet pick up if you did not already pay online. Athletes who forget their membership card will have four options, listed below:

 

 

Please remember to pack your USAT membership card. Don't leave home without it.

Transition Area 

Transition area opens at 5:15 AM on race morning and closes at 6:50 AM, before the first wave starts at 7:00 AM.

 


What You Get at Check-in

 

 

What you Get on Race Morning

 

Timing Chip:  Your chip goes on your left ankle, to the outside. Make sure it is UNDER your wetsuit. YOU WILL PICK THIS UP ON RACE DAY AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE TRANSITION AREA (3-4 SEPARATE LINES BY NUMBER) All athletes must wear their timing chip for the entire race. Relay teams will hand chip to next person at their bike rack.

Body Marking:  Volunteers will be in and around transition area and packet pick up for body marking before the race start. 

 

Course Details - Swim

Swim warm-up area is at the swim exit ramp, available until 7:00 AM. 

Swim start will be an in water start, One heat per event, all start together. Approximately 100-125 in each heat. First heat in the water a few minutes before start. Can hang on the dock or sit on if you wish. There will be 3-4 ladders at the end to exit the water. 

Course Details - Bike

Helmets are mandatory! No one will be allowed on bike course without a helmet. 

Please stay to the right and proceed with caution.

Remember - ROADS ARE NOT CLOSED TO TRAFFIC! Be cautious at all intersections, we have police officers and more than 40 volunteers on the course. They are there to assist in safety; you are still responsible to watch for crazy drivers (as usual). People can cross the course and cut you off at any race, not just this one. Be safe!!! 


It is always the responsibility as an athlete to be familiar with the course.

 

Course Details - Run

Run will be an out and back course, run on same side of the road each way, will be coned off for runners. 

 

We will have a water stop at every mile.

 

Please follow signs and cones to channel athletes and keep spectators off course. Please be courteous to all spectator and walkers, they also belong there and are enjoying the weather and some exercise just as you are. Share the roads.

 

Relay Participants

 

All relay switches take place at your bike rack, please transfer chip there.

 

Aqua Velo Participants

 

Aqua velo finish is when athlete crosses the timing mat after the bike entering back into the transition area. Please look for Aqua Velo Finish Coordinator and give them your timing chip.

 

Duathlon Participants

 

Duathlon finish is when athlete crosses the timing mat at the finish line.


Awards

 

12:00 PM (tentative)

 

Top 3 overall male and female for each event. (Triathlon, aqua velo, duathlon and relay.)

 

Top three male and female triathlon in each five year age group from 14 and under to 75 and up.

 

No duplicate awards.
